An AI wrote a Bible song about ducks!

Please, if you are musically gifted, put this song to a tune. I need to hear about the ducks of the Lord.

Elon Musk’s Buddhist Vril Device

I hate that I’m going to write about Elon Musk again yet here we are. This week, he tweeted a photo of his bedside table for some reason. Most people focussed on the guns or the caffine-free Diet Cokes, but Dr Connie Kassor wondered, what’s that thing in the lower left-hand corner?

via @constancekassor

She recognised it as a vajra — a ceremonial weapon with according to Wikipedia symbolises “the properties of a diamond (indestructibility) and a thunderbolt (irresistible force)”. People in the comments were calling it a “Vril Device” though, which is a thing from Call of Duty modelled after a vajra.

So, does Elon Musk know the religious meaning behind that object, or is he just really into first-person shooters? Silicon Valley CEO-types really love a bit of Eastern religion, but Elon also strikes me as a CoD guy. Maybe it’s both.

One of Kelly Clarkson’s first concerts was…

At the start of this video of Kelly Clarkson talks about Carman with Luke Grimes and Wes Bentley from Yellowstone on her talk show.

I’m so sorry to whoever sent this to me but I didn’t write it down straight away and now I’ve lost where the original message was posted (I’m in many group chats; I’m very popular).

I don’t think I’ve fully internalized how frankly bizarre the world of suburban mega churches are. And I’m saying that as somebody who attended one as a kid

In the same vein as the extravagant Easter parody shows, it’s time to celebrate Christmas megachurch style by turning drummers into acrobats. (Cheers to James and Joy for this one).

Wait no Christmas means doing this again

(Don’t worry the guy who posted this is joking)

Happy birthday James! also my friend just gave me a book called "A History of Magic" which is all about magic beliefs and actions through space and time and it's super fascinating and it was making me think that a Modern Relics book club would be fun? we could read Strange Rites (mixed feelings about that book but still) and so much more... Maybe this is a suggestion for the discord...
